How to Create a Marketing Video for Your Company

how to create a marketing video Using corporate video production to create effective conversion-worthy marketing videos can be a great boost for your business. Learning how to create videos can reduce outsourcing costs and in some cases, increase turnaround time. If you have the ability to tell a story you can easily create videos that explain the services that your business offers without having to break the bank. Here are the four simple steps to get you started.

1. Find an Easy Video Creation Tool:

Thanks to technology you don’t have to be a pro at video creation and editing in order to create a great video. There are many video animation and editing platforms that make it easy for anyone willing to learn, to create professional looking videos. Analyze each tool to find out if they fit your unique business needs.

2.Write Your Script:

Step 2 and 3 (storyboarding) can be interchangeable depending on how you think creatively. People who are very visual may prefer to create a storyboard with visuals before creating a script, while people who are better at creative writing could want to create the script before the storyboard. In my case, I am a little bit of both, so what I like to do when creating a script is to create notes of storyboard visuals as a write. That way when I start creating my storyboards I know what I want each frame to look like.

3. Creating a Storyboard:

Creating a storyboard is arguably the most difficult and most creative part of making a video. This is aspect of your video that captivates your audience or moves them to hit the escape button a few seconds into the video.

When creating a video think about the storyboard like a silent movie.

Without a voice over, your visuals should be able to tell a story to the user. A good tip for creating visuals is to take it scene by scene instead of getting overwhelmed about the whole story. Think about how what you want to show for each scene create that, then move on to the next instead of trying to think of what you should have for everything all at once.

4. Use a Professional Voice Over:

The voice that goes with your video is just as important as any visual effects. When users can easily understand the story that is told you stand a better chance of converting them. If you are pretty good at reading to sound like a pro, you can go for it. If you are not, you maybe better off paying for a professional to record the sound from your provided script. A low cost voice over could cost you somewhere around $80 for a one page script which will make a less than 3 minute video. Voiceover marketplaces allow you to sample different voices so that you can choose exactly what you envisioned your video sounding like.

5. Final Editing:

The final editing process requires careful review and multiple revisions to ensure that your finished product looks the best that it can possibly be. For this process, it is best to employ the services of someone who hasn’t been involved in the video creation process. The goal is to find out if you are;

  1. Communicating the right message with your visuals.
  2. If your audience feels compelled to take the action(s) or goals that you have for the video.

That’s It! How complete will this post be if I didn’t create a fun video explaining all the steps right? Enjoy!
