Succeeding at content marketing involves two basic steps:

1. Creating great engaging content.

2. Distributing that content effectively for maximum exposure and results.

Content Amplification as defined in this video by Cision’s SVP of Digital Content  involves increasing the strength of content by ensuring that it reaches a wider audience. She also explains the three connection circles when sharing content from 1st circle (contacts that you have already established trust with), 2nd Circle (friends of your first circle) to the harder to reach 3rd circle (contacts who are not connected to us but maybe interested in our business services). Different content apps such as Contextly that use algorithms to suggest content, therefore make it easier to breach the gap between the 1st and 3rd contact circles.
