Search engine result rankings (SERPs) are the heart of SEO. Everyone is trying to hard and fast to beat their competition for #1 spot on Google, bing, Yahoo or on any other search engine that matters. However, only one company can acquire the #1 spot at a time, and the sad reality is it may never be your company for the keyword that you desire. So does this mean that you are failing at SEO? The last part of this definition can sometimes be ignored when SEO becomes a popularity contest. I personally know of some business owners that get quite pleased with ranking high for certain keywords even if they are not getting their desired results. It’s better all around in many cases to get a few impressions but the right clicks that bring in business. After all that’s what is important (unless your goal for SEO is to increase brand awareness). This distinction should help you get your head on straight about what exactly you want as a result, this helps you pick the right SEO company. Do you want showmanship or results? Difference Between General SEO and Conversion SEO Strategies.

Naturally it sounds like trying to optimize website so that it’s easily found will come with the objective of converting to gain business. When you practice SEO with the intention of converting through search optimization, you are more focused on results and generally creating a better user experience. A conversion SEO strategy involves finding keywords that your customers are searching for during all the steps of the sales cycle—from the introduction stage all the way to the decision stage. You then create pages (onsite and offsite) that not only use that keyword in order to get it found, but also make it easier for your target audience to navigate their way through the sales cycle.
